about

This is probably one of my most personal albums yet, as well as one of my personal favorites. This album sees me diving into long, progressive song structures, inspired by Chaucerian Myth, Mournlord and Tyrannus Von Einhorn. The songs are few, long and evil, and chiefly experimental. I think this album is probably the best way to end an incredibly productive year for me.
Thematically, this is more themed around my existential crises and my sense for identity, both in a spiritual sense, as well as a material sense.
The eldritch fortress is something that is both stable (in how it's a fortress) and unstable (in how it's eldritch) to be borne of it, describes that sense of identity that I'm searching for, that I know I'll find, yet it may be too beautiful for me.
